1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) by the website you visit. It allows the site to remember certain information between visits — for example your language choice.

The site places only cookies that are strictly necessary for its operation. There are two, and the second appears only if you hold access to the client area:

3. Traffic measurement, without tracking

Traffic is measured with Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views and where they came from, but sets no cookie and keeps no identifier that would recognise you between visits: we know a page was viewed, never by whom. That is why you are shown no consent banner — there would be nothing to ask you. No advertising pixel and no tool such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or Hotjar is deployed, and no browsing information is shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Legal basis and consent

Both cookies fall under the category of "strictly necessary" cookies within the meaning of article 82 of the French Data Protection Act: one remembers a preference you expressed, the other is indispensable to delivering a service you expressly requested by signing in. As such, their placement is exempted from the requirement to obtain prior consent (CNIL recommendation "Cookies and other trackers" of 17 September 2020). This is also why the site displays no consent banner: it would have nothing to ask you.

5. How to manage or delete the cookie

You may at any time delete the NEXT_LOCALE cookie or block its placement via your browser settings:

6. Consequence of deletion

If you delete or block the NEXT_LOCALE cookie, the site will continue to work. On each new visit, your language will be re-detected from your browser's language preferences (HTTP Accept-Language header). No service will be degraded.

7. Policy updates

This policy may evolve if we add other cookies in the future (for example an anonymised audience-measurement cookie). Any change will be signalled by an update of the last-updated date at the top of the page and, where applicable, by a consent banner compliant with regulations.
